Quick Spring Tote

As the weather is finally improving here, I wanted to do some instant gratification projects in the ongoing attempt to whittle down the fabric stash.

Springtime tote from thrifted printed canvas and cotton webbing.

As many tote bags as I have made/aquired, there always seems to be need for another. Often I use them to hold projects in progress or as a holding zone for items to be organized. I have had this piece of printed canvas around for a while. It was a $0.40 thrift store purchase and always intended for a bright bag. I like the pop of colour but the darker background is good for hiding wear and tear. This xmas a friend brought me a selection of coloured cotton webbing from Montreal, so I made use of some for the handles. I prefer cotton straps as they are less slippery and comfy to hold in your hand or on your shoulder. The bottom corners are squared to give it some shape. I used a fun wavy stitch on the top edge.

May the finished objects continue to appear!
